David PresslDavid_presslyy was elected President of the National Associations of Home Builders (NAHB) at their annual meeting this past week. The NAHB has a membership of 220,000 members. The association is facing an interesting landscape as certain regions of the country areĀ  facing a slowdown in the face of a housing bubble.

Pressly is president of Pressly Development Co. in Statesville. He has more than 25 years of experience, and primarily constructs multifamily housing and commercial projects near Charlotte. Pressly Development also owns and manages more than 1,000 apartment units.
One of Pressly’s top agenda items will be to protect and enhance tax incentives that promote home ownership. He will also fight against regulatory barriers, like impact fees, that many home builders say drive up the cost of housing development and home ownership. via Business Journal of the North Carolina Triad.
