David Weekly Homes, one of the largest builders in the United States, is expanding into the metropolitan Phoenix area as they start building in in a master planned community.

The Houston-based homebuilder will be part of the Estrella Mountain Ranch community in Phoenix.
The 24,000-acre master-planned community will include a Jack Nicklaus golf course, two lakes and oversized home sites looking over the Estrella Sierra Mountains.
“The Estrella Mountain Ranch Community will act as a springboard for us in Phoenix,” says Jim Rado, area president for David Weekley Homes. “The long-term prospects for Phoenix and the western states are a natural extension of our geographic diversification strategy.”
Rado says David Weekley Homes has been working on this expansion since 1999, and the decision to enter the market has been carefully planned. via Houston Business Journal.

  1. David Weekly Homes in Raleigh, NC just released us from our contract because we wouldn’t fall for their bait and switch selling scheme. If you’re going to buy from them, buy a spec house already built. Don’t build from scratch or they will nickel & dime you to death - only the nickels & dimes are to the tune of thousands. Don’t sign anything until you know exactly what you are getting. Be prepared, because most of the fixtures, carpet, etc. that are included are really cheap. Most everything requires an upgrade and that’s when they really get you for the $$.
