Eminent Domain Whining By City Manager

Here is an interesting argument raised by Hutchinson City Manager John Deardoff looking at more restrictive eminent domain legislation. It will cost the taxpayers more money if new eminent domain laws forcing us to pay fair market value for property we condemn.
Here is a man who does not respect you or your rights. How about I rephrase it for him to show the moral hypocrisy this man is showing. Imagine if he said this.
Look folks, to save all of you some tax money and hopefully get me re-elected or re-appointed, I am going to do public work projects by taking property from one of your neighbors in the city, and pay him significantly below market value for it. I know this will put a burden on him, but you will love me for it.
To me, that is exactly what Hutchinson City Manager John Deardoff is saying, and it is a very common reaction by folks like him. So people of Hutchinson City, Kansas, find a new city manager, quickly, so that you will have someone who respects you and that you may not be the next target of a man who does not respect your property rights.
