Weird News: 25 Million Dollar Check Bounces

Can you really be so busy that you can not walk a 25 million dollar check into the bank? A real estate agent in Northern New Jersey deposited the check from  a closing in the drive through window,  and then the check bounced  causing 23 million dollars in  checks written against it to bounce.

A PNC bank branch in North Jersey waived its normal procedures and accepted for deposit a 25 Million dollar check at a drive-through teller window.

Real estate investor Solomon Dwek of Ocean Township often conducted large transactions that way. Turns out the check bounced big-time, but not before Dwek wired 23-Million dollars of PNC’s funds into other accounts.

The FBI has been asked to investigate. via 6ABC.com
