HawaiirecordhomesaleThe highest end of the real estate market is doing well as the multi million dollar homes are still selling. A record price has been paid in Hawaii for a home that is beach front and has over 15 thousand square feet of living space. They marketed the property with their own web site and it is an  excellent example of how the web can help move a home for sale.

An estate at the upper end of beachfront Kailua has sold for the upper end of current prices, a record $24 million, the agents involved said Monday.
Kailuana Estates, on a double lot at 145 and 151 Kailuana Loop, consists of nearly 60,000 square feet with 255 linear feet of beach frontage. It has 15,000 square feet of living space in two houses.

The main home includes staff quarters and even the second house has its own gym, sauna and tennis court. “Having such a record sale will really help boost sales along the Windward coast for other high-end properties on the market,” Pflueger said Monday. The property went on the market at the end of last year and was in escrow for 90 days, which is considered to be at the short end of the usual time it takes to sell a property in this price range.
