You would think this real estate agent was working in Southern Florida or San Diego after being arrested for stealing from a home he had listed. Instead GP Boothwright was arrested for stealing from a clients home in Franklin, Tennessee, one of the hottest markets in the country.
So now this moron is going to face the judge for stealing things out of their basement when his commission on the home if he had sold it would have been close to 70,000 dollars.
Geddes “G.P.” Bootwright, 36, of Franklin, has been charged with theft over $500. Bootwright, an agent with Crye-Leike Realtors, was released from jail after posting $2,500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 10.
Bootwright was the broker representing a $1.2 million home in the Laurelbrooke subdivision. He set up a showing of the house on July 16, but the owners said they saw him acting suspiciously when they drove by the house, according to a police report.
The owners told a detective with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office that they didn’t see anyone other than Bootwright at their home while he was supposed to be showing it to potential buyers. Bootwright’s car was seen backing down their driveway then moved back to the front of the house. The homeowners later discovered items missing from their basement. via the Tennessean.com
