‘Real estate rapist’ Sentencing Coming Up

Oliver_hooper_rapistOliver Hooper, the man dubbed the “Real Estate Rapist” is due to be sentenced for raping homesellers in their homes as he posed as a potential buyer. This deviant would contact the homesellers in hopes of getting a woman alone in her home and then raping her.

Sick bastards like this have their own place in hell, but it should be a reminder to those who are selling their homes that you should not let someone into your home unless you have another with you or they have been vetted previously. It is too dangerous to put yourself in the situation these days.

Oliver Hooper, 35, of Gorham, Maine, was convicted in May on five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault; two counts of criminal threatening; one count of kidnapping; and several misdemeanors. He could face more than 50 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Hooper, a traveling salesman, faked interest in buying the home on July 26, 2005, forced his way inside and raped the woman at knifepoint.
Within an hour of the assault, prosecutors said, Hooper visited two other homes in Dover less than a mile from the victim’s home. All three witnesses gave descriptions matching Hooper and gave police a description of the car he drove. He was arrested 10 days later after a massive manhunt.
Police and prosecutors believe Hooper visited around a dozen other homes in southern New Hampshire, Maine, and northeastern Massachusetts, posing as a potential home buyer while seeking additional victims. via Boston.com.
