Ohio County Starts Online Real Estate Transfer

The trend to move real estate services into an online format is slowly happening. As in other parts of the country, online electronic filing of real estate transfers are gaining speed. This can only help the process as the documents will be more accurate, entered quicker into the public record, and take a layer out of the process.

And reduce costs associated with property transfers. That is always a benefit to consumers as the costs savings are passed onto the consumers.

The Stark County auditor’s and recorder’s offices jointly announced a plan to allow electronic filing for real estate transfers. Stark County is the first county in the state to have e-filing of such transactions, according to a press release.
The project is being done in conjunction with the two offices, as well as Document Technology Systems of Cuyahoga Falls.
Interested Stark businesses and residents can access the service through software that can be installed in their offices or residences at no cost, county Auditor Kim Perez said. via The Times-Reporter.
