As the market for condominiums has slowed, many developers are trying to determine the best way to market to a buyers market. Seth Godin, marketing guru did a post on the Glass House in Denver, a 389 residence development that is completely sold in a slow market.

They did not do it with in your face marketing or deep discounts. They used permission marketing, getting permission from perspective buyers to talk with them. And it worked.

  1. It worked in signing them up. Now let’s see how many of them cancel. I wouldn’t expect a lot of cancellations though, considering the way that they worked to create buy-in from the prospective applicants.
