Martin Scorsese Sells New York City Townhouse

Martin_ScorseseIt seems like celebrities change their living locations as fast as they change their homes, but Martin Scorsese is much more careful with his homes. Scorsese and his 5th wife have sold their East side townhouse in Manhattan that he has held for the past 20 years to move closer to where his 8 year old is attending school.

The home  he bought in 1987 with his 4th wife cost an original 1.75 million.

Scorsese and his fifth wife, Helen, will soon depart their East 62nd Street home, a four-story residence that he bought 20 years ago. Located between Second and Third avenues, the “mint-condition” residence was first listed over a year ago. It had a last asking price of $6.7 million.
Included in the five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion is a spacious double parlor and formal dining room with wood-burning fireplaces, a landscaped garden, two kitchens, a wine cellar, nanny’s quarters, a large media room, an elevator and state-of-the-art entertainment and security systems.  via the New York Post Online Edition
