Donny Deutsch is Seinfelds New Neighbor in the Hamptons

DonnyDeutsch_HamptonsJerry Seinfeld is getting a new neighbor in his East Hampton enclave, television and advertising star Donny Deutsch. The flamboyant  and outspoken Deutsch has been reported looking for his ideal Hamptons getaway and has settled on the property next to Jerry Seinfeld. The historic home that presently is on the property is being moved to a new location which will allow Deutsch to create his personal pleasure palace.

After scouring the Hamptons for years to find the perfect place to hang his swim trunks, talk show host/ad mogul Donny Deutsch has found his ultimate oceanfront spot.
The host of CNBC’s “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” has gone to contract to purchase a 3.3-acre estate in East Hampton, just off fashionable Further Seinfeld-hamptonsLane, for $29 million. But it wasn’t a slam-dunk deal. A bidding war erupted toward the end of the negotiations, according to our sources.
The double dune-protected compound on a bluff includes two pools, a pond with a waterfall and plenty of pristine beach frontage.
While the property also features a main residence that’s more than 300 years old and two conjoined guesthouses dating from the 1800s, the structures will only serve as temporary housing. The main house, known as “Baker House,” is expected to be moved to another location in town, as previously reported, while the fate of the other two buildings is unclear. That leaves room for Deutsch to build a palace to rival that of his new next-door neighbor, Jerry Seinfeld. via the New York Post
