Why Calling Ahead is a Good Idea, Or Does The House Come With the Body In The Bedroom

Scared_woman2Every real estate agent has a story of a showing gone wrong, but for Janesville, Wisconsin agent Linda Chabucos-Galow, this was a doozy. She was showing a home to a couple when they started screaming. The home was not “showing ready” with dishes in the sink and not cleaned up, but all she thought was they had seen a mouse.

Nope, it was the owner of the property dead in her bed. The 55 year old owner had passed away a couple of weeks previously and no one had found her until the couple looking at the home came across her body.

No word on whether an offer was made on the property.

Real estate agent Linda Chabucos-Galow was in the dining room while Justin and Colleen McKeen walked through a house when she heard Colleen McKeen scream.
”I thought, ‘What’s wrong?’ Maybe it was a dead mouse or something,” Chabucos-Galow said.
But then she peered into the room and saw the body of Linda L. O’Leary, 55.
An autopsy determined O’Leary had been dead for two to three weeks, Coroner Jenifer Keach said Wednesday. The cause of death remained under investigation, but the woman appeared to have died of natural causes, Keach said. via the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

  2. [...] couple of weeks ago we had the story of the body found in the home that was being shown by a real estate agent, but coming out of Spain is a stranger but true story. A woman who passed away in 2001, I kid you [...]
