		<description>Actually, you are all not aware, but the lowest tax jurisdiction in the United States is an island chain called the Northern Mariana Islands.  It became US soil officially in 1985.  As part of their agreement, they had to mirror the US tax code.  However, a loophole allowed for a rebate, which gives back up to 90% back on all CNMI sourced income. I don&#039;t know about the other places on the list, but elsewhere in the South, the cost of living seems much less than in Florida at present.  Since the state government&#039;s solutions all involve shifting the tax burden, rather than reducing the spending that shot up during the bubble, the pain is unlikely to go away.  If the pain doesn&#039;t go away, increasing numbers of residents will.</description>
