Real Estate Agent Attacked In Home In Rock Hill, SC
A man hiding in a home for sale attacked and sexually assaulted a real estate agent in Rock Hill, South Carolina over the weekend. The woman was planning on showing the home to a friend when the man attacked her during the prehome inspection.
The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Jones Avenue, a police report stated.
Police learned of the allegations shortly before 10:20 a.m. Saturday when a woman flagged down the responding officer and told him that her 33-year-old friend, a real estate agent, had been assaulted.
The woman said the agent had come to the address to show her a real-estate listing, the report stated.
The friend told police the agent went inside the home before the friend arrived. A man hiding inside confronted her, the report stated. The man, whose identity is unknown, then forced the agent to the floor and raped her inside the home, according to the report. via Charlotte Observer

Tom – thanks for the tip. We have a sexual predator out on bail who has been making the open house rounds. I’ll use this to remind people to keep their wits about them and to sign up for Pam Ellis’s self-defense class.

I just started in new home sales and had what I think was a close call with a man saying he was looking for a home. From the get go all the red lights were going off and he spent about a half hour dragging out the conversation. Luckily I had a co-worker at the new home with me and she was outside on the phone in front of the office watching me the whole time. It seemed like he was waiting for her to come inside. When he finally left, he sat in his truck for about 10 minutes watching her. I had an uncomfortable feeling he was waiting for her to come inside. I called her and told her to stay out there. I grabbed my keys and phone, locked up the house, and headed for the door. As soon as I did that he left. He said that he was from North Carolina. This could be completely unrelated, but I’m wondering how you came to know that information that there was a sexual predator on bail who was visiting new homes? I live in Charleston and would love to know how you stay in the know or any info you could give me about that for my own safety and the safety of my co-workers.
