There have been a few stories in the news recently that have captured my attention for weird home showings, such as the one when there was a dead body in the house. Today’s comes from the Emerald Coast in Florida where an agent shows up at house to give a showing, to find it fully engulfed in flames after being struck by lightning.
That is interesting enough, but here is the question for you agents. What line would you use to let the people who were going to see the home know what was happening and that steer them to another home?
Lightning caused extensive damage Wednesday afternoon to a home that was for sale.
A real estate agent who was supposed to show the house at 316 Brackin St. arrived to find firefighters battling the blaze that caused about $120,000 in damage to the home listed for sale at $170,000, said Crestview Fire Department Battalion Chief Jon Riedel. Riedel estimated damage to the house’s contents at about $30,000.
Lightning hit the roof of the three-bedroom house at 4 p.m. and caused a fire in the attic. The owner, who is in the military, was not home. via EmeraldCoast.com
