MyBlogLog To Change Name and Add Features

MyBlogLog is one of the favorite tools of the Real Estate Blogosphere, or RE.net, for bloggers and readers alike. Yahoo acquired the company and has been formulating some upgrades for  the coming year or so that include a complete rebrand.

Andy Beal has the scoop of some of the changes that include:

  • Re-branding the service. No new name yet, but as MBL is still relatively confined to early-adopters, they would be wise to make use of the Yahoo name somehow. Perhaps, Yahoo Blog Communities?
  • A new site design.
  • Improving the web widget - let’s hope it’s a lot faster to load!
  • Removing spam and offensive content.
  • Improving options for toggling your visibility within the network.
  • I am still on the fence on MyBlogLog. I used the paying service on another site  when  they first rolled the product out and it has given some good information. The social aspect and widgets have been more fun as it lets me see who is coming to visit.

It will be interesting  to watch the  coming months as  MyBlogLog matures and integrates in the Yahoo empire.

    1. I quite like MyBlogLog now after thinking it was pretty ho hum. I just like seeing my friends faces in the widget I guess.

    2. There is a better more focused community that MyBlogLog. While there are only few real estate blog over at BumpZee, the feature is very promising.
