Marijuana Grow Houses in GeorgiaIs it that luxury homes in Georgia are less expensive, or is it the power companies are so daft that stealing thousands of dollars in power a month is below their radar screen. Whatever the reason, the use of marijuana grow houses in Georgia are proliferating as the most recent bust in Lee County has shown.

This one features a real estate agent, an insurance agent, and a security system installer. The perfect trifecta. All you need is a line installer from the power company and you have the A-Team of Grow Houses.

Real estate agent Scott Renfroe and Insurance Agent Ray Moody are said to be at the heart of a huge indoor-marijuana growing operation.Investigators say houses were bought in upper class neighborhoods, then used as pot houses where millions of dollars worth of the drug was grown. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office zeroed in on this multi-million dollar drug operation. “We knew we had something going on. Of course the sheriff getting information the way he does, we put it all together and were finally able to make it happen,” says Col. Duane Sapp, investigator with Lee County Sheriffs Office.
The investigation focused on two Lee County homes. Investigators say this vacant house in the Hunter’s Ridge subdivision on Old Leesburg Road and another house on Bright Water Drive, off Pinewood Road, were operation hubs for the large-scale pot growing operation.
Both of the houses were for sale and listed with real estate agent Scott Renfroe.
When Lee County deputies raided the houses over the weekend, this is what they discovered - entire bedrooms filled with hundreds of marijuana plants.
Evidence that lead authorities to arrest Scott Renfroe, and Ray Moody. Also arrested is Frank Spring, an employee with ADT Home Security Systems and his companion, Kimberly Etheridge. The four are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, manufacturing marijuana, and trafficking in marijuana. via WALB.com News

You failed to add that another builder/developer/broker (licensed) actually owned the houses; the broker is bankrolled by the local concrete supplier and the money flows to a banker in North Georgia who sits on the Board at Southern Companies.

It actually is the “A” team.

I think that everyone needs to recheck their information. WALB has just post that Frank Spring has been linked to about 8 different marijuana houses from Atlanta to Panama City, FL. It seems that Frank Spring is now the mastermind behind the operation.

Also, I think it is ridiculous for people to speculate that a builder/developer/broker is involved. It’s just a shame for people to run their mouths who don’t know a thing about anything. It’s just b.s.
