On this day in 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed. The brave men in that room, all of prominence, stature, and wealth, signed their death warrants as traitors to the British Empire and the most powerful military power in the world. All for something they believed in.
Their actions were one step onto the path of the United States of America being a place that people all over the world aspire to live. My question to myself today and to you, what action can you take today or in the future to make where you live a better place. Is there one thing you can stand for that will make a difference in the world or your community? If there is, take a small step and put your name on it like the signers of the Declaration of Independence did. That signature told the world they believed in freedom of man and the Republic. And it made all the difference.
