That would certainly make selling the house much harder. I can imagine that realtors call back to the seller, “I think I know why we haven’t been able to sell your house, you forgot to remove the dead bodies!”

Let’s hope it isn’t a trend. This real estate market isn’t that bad is it?

Sounds weird, I may need to check the closets at the Open Houses.

I once had a signed deal fall apart after the purchasers found a couple of grave markers on the property they hadn’t noticed earlier. I wonder what other strange-but-true stories are out there?

A lot of people are spooked by deaths especially if it happens within the premises of your own property. It’s good that the crime was discovered before the buyer even decide to take it. That property maybe taken out of the market but I’m sure it will re-appear in the list once things cool down after a while.

In California, there is actually an existing law about disclosures of previous deaths that occur in the property even if ti happen sometime ago.
