flippinghomesjogo FlippingHomes.com - A Community For Real Estate InvestorsWhen FlippingHomes.com approached me about doing a review of their site, I was curious. If you read the conventional wisdom in the market, flipping is dead and crazy to get into. But after spending some time on the site, with the crew over at FlippingHomes.com has done is create a vibrant and effective resource for those that are interested in the art of Flipping Homes.

There are 4 main components to the Flipping Homes site: The Forum, The Blog, The Article Database, and The Products. We will go through a review of all 4 of the parts of the site and discuss what we have found. It is always great to get a paid review thorugh ReviewMe and learn from it at the same time.

The Blog:

flippinghomesblog FlippingHomes.com - A Community For Real Estate InvestorsThe newest part of Flipping Homes, the blog has come into being just this month and is already tackling tougher issues in regarding the real estate industry. The article Flipping Houses = Mortgage Fraud? captures an important discussion of the Flipping industry. How the triangle of the Flipping Television shows, real life flippers, and the fraudulent flippers all are perceived by the general public. Johnpaul Moses, the author of the blog, also does a great post on flipping in the internet world.

The tone and flavor of the blog is dead on, it is a combination of whimsy, opinion, and fact and you can see Johnpaul is having fun with the site. While it is sparse on content right now, throw the Flipping Homes Blog in your RSS reader and you will enjoy it.

The Forum:

flippinghomesforum FlippingHomes.com - A Community For Real Estate InvestorsThe Flipping Homes forum has a definite sense of community here for the experienced and new investors. There is a thread that may have saved a guy his sanity and it all went through in less than a day. A new investor found a property, but his employment situation and lack of capital could have created a train wreck. Two other seasoned investors jumped in explaining why it was not a good idea and why in a very caring way, and the original investor learned a very important lesson without losing his shirt.

Communities that have an antagonistic nature never appeal to me, but if I was going to learn to invest in real estate, I would definitely consider this a resource to look into. If I would make a recommendation is to consider migrating to a full featured forum package such as vbulletin. The ability to develop a deeper degree of depth and allow a larger community to develop around the site will be greatly benefited through the use of a full featured forum software.

Articles:

If you are looking to invest in real estate properties either by flipping the homes or wholesaling them, the article section of Flipping Homes is a great resources. There are 51 articles to read that cover the spectrum from Birdogging Homes to Ethical Negotiating to and article titled “Is Flipping Houses Legal?”. The time I typically put into a review was doubled after I got sucked into reading a bunch of these articles. Some real good stuff here.

The Products:

There are 4 training tools available for sale on the Flipping Homes site. They are very reasonably priced considering the infrastructure that has been built around them. Some people get upset when community type sites have things for sale, but I think this is the synergy that is needed to create a healthy website. Community sites like Flipping Homes takes a great deal of work to keep running well. The more chances to monetize the site and deliver quality products, the more the owners will be able to invest into it.

Conclusion:

Flipping Homes is a good site for those real estate investors that are looking to learn more about the business. What impressed me most about the site is the depth of knowledge and the honesty they bring. While many sites that advocate a concept tend to sugar coat negative topics, the guys at Flipping Homes seem to be very forthright and honest on all facets of the topic. The level of trust that is seen in the newly formed blog, the thriving forum, and the compilation of articles tells me that Flipping Homes is a site that investors can trust to tell them the truth.

Again, this has been a paid review provided in conjunction with ReviewMe. We turn down many more reviews than we actually accept and try to provide reviews of products and sites that will benefit the general real estate community. I agree with you, I do though have a problem with these shows like flip this house or other shows like that showing how easy it is to flip a house. I have not done it myself but I believe it is harder to do than that.
