There is so much fear in the real estate world. When things were zooming through the roof many folks thought that it would continue indefinitely and built their world around the successes never expecting a downturn. Seeing this cartoon by Hugh MacLeod got me thinking that the fear and issues are self induced. Expansion in businesses and lifestyle for the sake of expansion while when things return to normal or take a downward bend it has devastating consequences for those involved.
A lesson for us all.
