Top ten most expensive zip codesHome sales may be slower, but for these zip codes across the United State the housing prices seem to be holding their own and zooming higher. An analysis of homes that sold between July, 2006 and June, 2007 show that these ten zip codes had the highest average sale price for the period.

Of course these numbers can be a bit deceiving as the lower end of home sales may have dropped off and the high end remaining strong skewing the numbers. But this is not all about pure facts. Sometimes real estate voyeurism is just for the fun in itself. So enjoy on a quiet Sunday morning or whenever you have the free time to read this.

  2. 33109 – Miami Beach, FL – $3,400,000
  3. 92067 – Rancho Santa Fe, CA – 2,585,000
  4. 89413 – Glenbrook, NV – $2,325,000
  5. 11930 – Amagansett, NY – $2,220,000
  6. 11976 – Water Mill, NY – $2,150,000
  7. 93108 – Santa Barbara, Ca – $2,137,500
  8. 10577 – Purchase, NY – $1,940,000
  9. 94957 – Ross, CA – $1,875,000
  10. 02535 – Chilmark, MA – $1856,250
