God help us from bureaucrats who are sanctimonious and full of beeswax. A report coming out of Canada that a UN official traveling the country is condemning the Canadians for their rise in homelessness and cost of housing.
Miloon Kothari, the UN’s special rapporteur on adequate housing, warned yesterday that Canadians are becoming complacent to the crisis unfolding on the streets and that public attitudes could soon mirror the indifference found in the United States. via TheStar.com
The recommendations coming out of the mouth of this UN tool are that huge social programs are needed to create huge social welfare programs to remove all the homeless from the streets and shelters. The new progressive housing plan is needed to stop the rise in homelessness.
But if you look into the history of Mr. Miloon Kothari you will see he has made a career out of campaigning for housing rights. But when you come from India and you tell the Canadians that the United States has a homeless problem? Please…
The man is an arch liberal who has a chip on his shoulder against success. Here is a quote from the bio on Kothari “Mr. Kothari is an outspoken critic of the countries and institutions that see the neo-liberal and military/security policies as a means to achieving democracy and human rights.”
So wonderful people of Canada. Do not worry that a blood sucking UN envoy flying around the world in fancy planes staying at the best hotels is telling you that you are selfish. It is just his way of maintaining his standard of living.
Go ahead and continue to prosper in real estate and living your dream and do not let the government take even more of your hard earned dollars to live up to the hypocritical mandates of a UN bureaucrat.
