This is a problem for the country but this was brough on by stupid people. If people would not try to live above there means then this would not be a problem. How is this fair to the people who does pay there mortgages?

I think the amount of foreclosures is a real shame, but I think we are missing the cause if we are just blaming the mortgage companies. The problem is our country has taught us for years the “American Way”. Have whatever you want take out as much debt as you want. So consumers are living way out of their price range and then defaulting. I think we need to start pushing more budgeting education instead of get out of jail free cards. Let our country learn from this rather then once again so oh poor pitiful people who didn’t pay their bills and instead bough a bunch of crap they don’t need.
