   Richmond and Oakland are bad in many ways but nothing compared to Washington D.C. when I lived there in the late 80’s and early 1990’s.

   At the height of the crack epidemic and Marian Barry’s tenure as mayor, we had one year with 485+ murders for a city with a population of less than 500,000. It was scary!

   I was raised in Oakland and have a home in richmond and yes it is bad, doesnt seem like it should be the worst in the US. I think its the cities fault there is nothing here to do period. And I think the authorities are focused on the wrong things. Sad i have to live and really enjoy living in the bay but i think it can be resolved. No one is taking it seriously except for the folks who have to live around it and how much can they control it?

   I’ve lived in philly all my life and i feel its the worst out of all these cities but its not evevt lised on hear! philly is really dangerous. Just a couple months ago philly was listed #1 for most dangerous cities they event said it on Cnn they had a whole special on it 3 months ago .im not sure whats goin on but they need to get there damn facts right cause philly needs a lot of help!

    First off, Philly, Mo-town, St. Louis and Cleveland are all a mess. Crime, gangs and drugs all have really impacted these cities, causing their ranks to go up. I am from Miami Fl, and live in Ft. Lauderdale currently. I know crime has gone down some the last couple of years but trust me, Miami is the most dangerous city in America. The people who live here are different, must of them are comfortable with their life of crime because they came from third world counties where crime is survival. Go to any ghetto down here, Overtown, Brownsville, Opa-Locka, Carol City, its a different type of animal over here

    I’m from New Orleans, 9th Ward, but raised in Dallas, and I thought that New Orleans was the dangerous city, but when I go to Dallas then that shit is on some other level. Some of these cities seems so bad because of the population. You have to look at other crimes such as burgarly, robbery, rape and assults and other stuff to consider a city to be the most dangerous. Dallas is ranked in the top ten in all that crazy stuff. Then Dallas has over a Million people, as to New Orleans is like 400, 000 plus. So larger citites such as Philly, Detroit, and Even D.C.(onl 500,000 plus) gives the nods on being the most dangerous because of population. (in my opinion

    This blog is nothing less than a forum on bragging rights for who has the most messed up city. For those of you who thought your’s was so bad that you shoulda had the top spot: Well it ain’t, it can get worse and it is worse elsewhere.

    Quit being proud about it. Then, quit your bitchin’ and DO something about it. It’d be nice to see people put some effort into change as opposed to just complaining.
