Tommy,

There are soooo many Jose stories here in the Bay Area. My favorite is an urban legend that many swear is true.

Jose at the height of his popularity went drinking at a swank nightspot in a very upscale part of the East Bay--Danville or Blackhawk.

Apparently Jose got into a verbal altercation with a guy much smaller at the bar. Things got ugly and the small citizen and a friend cold cocked Jose and reportedly stole is diamond Rolex watch in front of a startled crowd.

Is it true? I don't know but it doesn't sound like a stretch. That story has been making the rounds since 1986.

I agree with you. The level of self absorbtion and averice is why I chose this story. He was blessed with a talent and let all the ills of society bastardize it.

Tommy!

Jose had the best line I have read in awhile so I am paraphrasing:

I only made roughly $35 million in my career. Uncle Sam hits me for 40% taxes and two divorces cost me $6-8 million more.

Plus I have to take care of my entire family--it's not that much money.

Jose you are truly a freeeeeekin idiot!

By brainiac Jose's calculations minus the 40% ($7million) toss in $8mill for the divorces Jose still has from his original $35 million somewhere around $20mill for roughly 15 yrs of work.

If the avg American believes 6 figures is a goal then Jose's $20mill would make up 200 years of $100k earnings.

Somehow I can't feel bad for stupid people!
