How Would Your Obituary Read? Look At Leo Colarossi’s And Think About It

We all want to make a difference.

And when you think that all I am is a real estate salesperson, what difference can I make, take a look at the life of Leo Colarossi. I have never met the  gentleman, never heard about him until today, but if I lived in Moon or Colaopolis outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I bet I would have known his name.

Working in the real estate industry can put you in the heart of a community. What you do with that privilege and responsibility is up to you.

I personally would love to have an obituary filled with the love and respect that Leo Colarossi had. But my guess is that he earned every bit of it with his dedication to his community.

LeoWhen real estate broker Leo Colarossi convinced Robert Morris University and the FedEx Corp. to establish facilities in Moon, the companies created hundreds of new jobs for Moon and nearby Coraopolis.
“My father was born and raised in Coraopolis,” said his son, Dr. Leo Colarossi of Moon. “He loved his hometown and the people who lived there, and throughout his long career in real estate, he would do anything to build up Coraopolis.”
Leo Colarossi of Moon, founder and owner of Lee Realty Co. in Moon, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2008. He was 83.
“Dad belonged to numerous local organizations, including the Coraopolis Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce,” Dr. Colarossi added. “These are organizations that promoted the town and supported the building of recreational facilities for the youngsters in our area.”
