I hope you stuck around for part three... that was one of my listings. But it was a good thing.

For Eric, I have had the same issue occasionally. I let the brokers know what their agents are up to. I know exactly how has been in my properties and when they were there.

Unfortunately, there are irresponsible people in all walks of life.

My home was vacant for 3 months - and the realtor's showing the home repeatedly left the doors unlocked. Eventually we had a buyer - but while the sale was "pending" waiting for closure, the teenage son of the buyer stopped by after school, found the door unlocked, and called some friends for a party. Who called a few more friends, and so on. Who brought a few kegs. Before they were done, over 200 drunk teens had taken over the property, spilling onto a busy street at night, climbing over the fences into neighbor's yards.

The entire on duty police force responded and put an end to this real estate party. They even found the culprit. The good news was that no one got hurt and the buyer agreed to take the house "as is" (while we never said anything, I assume they thought we'd file suit against them and the realtors).

Thus, the above story does not surprise me one little bit. There is way too much sloppiness and sleeze in the real estate sector.
