24 Star Kiefer Sutherland Selling Converted Warehouse Home For Nearly 5 Million
This makes sense to me. Keifer Sutherland has been living in a warehouse. The star of 24 seems to love living the rugged life on screen may like the lifestyle for real.
Now I am not saying that this is a typical warehouse with forklifts et al. It is a lavish spread with both living and work space. And with 14,000 square feet of space and a price tag of 4.9 million dollars it must not be too shabby.
I do like how it is described as needing a special buyer. Real Estate agents, what is this code speak for? A bohemian who could afford a 5 million dollar Silver Lake spread in Los Angeles? Or a hip hop star looking to have an urban home in the trendy part of the city?
The property has 6,000 square feet of living space and 8,000 square feet currently being used as a recording studio and offices. The residence is unassuming from the street, but inside, its rooms all open to each other, and it just screams, “What’s a New York loft like me doing in a place like this?” It has 25-foot ceilings and polished concrete floors warmed by radiant heat, and the studio and offices are just down a hallway. The building is a former ironworks/foundry warehouse.
This is one of those properties that agents euphemistically describe as “for a special buyer.” The building was constructed in 1928 and is configured into three bedrooms and four bathrooms. via SFGate
