Ed McMahon, known as Johny Carson’s sidekick and most recently for the foreclosure on his home, is now rapping on a couple of You-Tube videos for FreeCreditReport.com.
The company is known for it’s catchy lyrics about people making bad credit decisions. Now they have enlisted McMahon to do the video’s about his real life foreclosure.
I hope, I really hope, he is getting paid very well for these ads.
The video’s will be released in October.
Charles Harris, FreeCreditReport.com’s vice president of strategic marketing, said the company sought out McMahon to star in the humorous spots after seeing him openly discuss his finances on “Larry King Live.” Harris said McMahon represents “a man who is taking charge.”
In the first video, McMahon — who once pitched the American Family Publishing sweepstakes — and a bodyguard are cruising through a neighborhood looking for sweepstakes winners to ask for some money back, but McMahon doesn’t actually go through with it. In the second spot, McMahon dons a new suit after undergoing a financial and emotional makeover.
“When I retired, I was famous,” McMahon raps in the video. “I had money and glory/I bought a house for 6 mill/I thought nothing could touch me/Until my credit went south, and debt started to crunch me/Next thing I know, instead of playing gin rummy, I was scrambling just to make ends meet/It wasn’t funny.” via AccessAtlanta.

Nothin is more contemptible than respect based on fear because those who demand reverence only listen when they want to hear. They only feel strong standin in a puddle of tears evaporatin in the air like their fears all tied up they stand there thinkin well watts the point wen I aint gunna accomplish watt I came in this world for. Watt I gunna do wen managing my fears fixin my tears goin to school fixin my education I cant put up with this humiliation I aint gunna deal with this drama its like a panorama…..

A bad credit score can affect your life in so many negative ways! I keep a pretty close eye on mine.
