Why Should You Have a Real Estate Blog

Seth Godin and Tom Peters explain it in one and a half minutes better than many do in a 10 page post.

  1. Technology is changing the way business is done and blogging can provide a Realtor with a tremendous advantage in a local market.

  2. I think blogging is powerful myself. However, I think blogging is not always powerful in every sector. Take me I blog in the news area mostly, but for the common person looking for a home are they really blogging? What I really like about blogs if they be a real estate blog or not is a place that allows freedom of speach, freedom of views, etc for the people who want to have freedom to read several different views and make up their own thoughts from there. I am not buying into the mobile listings. Most people I speak to are starting to hate their cell phones. They do not hate their computers. Their cells just cannot touch the level of quality that a phone can. Most consumers want to see a DR for answers and not just bounce around from home to home on their own. I think we will start seeing a demand for less public access to knowledge on listings from sellers. I even think the day of the signs will go away in the front yards, and they will demand that their home’s address not be shown on any listing- just zip and city and state. I know if I was selling my home I would only want it public on MLS for the realtors. We will see.

  3. Great video! Definitely to the point and sentiments that I can relate to. I’ve only been blogging for roughly three months. I have to thank my stumbling into Active Rain for my involvement.

In the pursuit of creating a better blog, always trying to provide better and more relevant content, you inadvertently educate yourself on the topics / matters at hand to a much greater degree as you research and prepare for your next post.

Thank you again for sharing the video!

  4. Great video! Thanks so much for posting it–it’s a good piece of motivation.
