Yes, things are bad. We've got a rough time ahead, but what's different now is how connected we all are. Markets are inherently emotional, and we operate of the hive mind now more than ever. It's not the smartest thing, especially when the prevailing news is negative. Hive mind has it's benefits. But it's still important to unplug and take time to review your own thoughts, form your own damn opinions from time to time! NPR reported recently that supposedly we're way more negative about the economy than we were in the 80's, when unemployment was way higher and interest rates were in the double digits.
