T-Boz Of Rap Group TLC Losing Atlanta Home to Foreclosure

T-Boz-AtlantaIt looks like another Atlanta Rap Star, T-Boz of the 90’s girls group TLC, is losing her home to foreclosure. The home valued at 1.5 million is being foreclosed over a 530,000 dollar loan.

These times are hard for all I guess. She joins Evander Holyfield as famous Atlantan’s to face foreclosure. One huge difference is that in Atlanta a million dollar plus home is huge, while on the coasts they are much smaller so the expenses are much higher on the Atlanta homes.

We’ve learned a five-bedroom, nearly 10,000-sq. ft. house owned by T-Boz (real name: Tionne Watkins-Rolison) is about to go on the auction block in January 2009. According to public records, she’s defaulted on the original principal of her mortgage (around $530K), and so now the state is taking it. via TMZ.com.

  1. It’s a shame that there are so much foreclosures around the country. But I must say it is nice to hear that celebrities are facing the same problems that many average Americans are facing as well. Hopefully, banks will become more helpful in loan modifications soon.

  2. damn that really sucks, I remember I use to listen to TLC songs back in the days.

  3. I some time wonder if it is just to easy for people to walk away from there properties and let them go to foreclosure. The people are not living in there homes but renting someplace that is almost as much as the mortgage.

  4. Gtaziozi, you sound like a fool saying it’s nice to see celebrities losing their homes too.
Why would you get pleasure from someone losing their home?
It doesent matter whether it’s T-boz or Donald Trump. They feel the same loss when they lose their home.
They work and pay bills just like the next man, they just have larger homes and more expensive cars.
the meek shall inherit the earth.

  6. Its funny, fuk it! I remember I liked them until they came out with ‘no scrubs’, talking about a man they cant be bothered with because he’s broke and so on….now look who couldnt manage the lifestyle. Maybe if she lived like us ‘broke’ folks, she would still have a home. Oh well Negro…my people do some dumb stuff.
