Top 10 Most Livable Cities in the World in 2008

Is it time to move back to Australia? 4 of the top 10 most livable cities in the world are Down Under, with Melbourne taking the 2nd spot, Perth 4th, Adelaide tied for 7th, and Sydney tied for 9th in the recent Economist survey.

Canada took the top spot with Vancouver, Toronto 5th, and Calgary 7th. Vienna, Geneva, Helsinki, and Zürich were also on the Top 10 list.

The study looked at 5 broad categories

  • stability
  • health care
  • culture and environment
  • education
  • infrastructure
  • and 30 subcategories to determine the ranking.

      Australia is popular place to live with Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney in the top ten most Liveable cities in the world 2008. Where will make the list for 2009?
