New Media Atlanta – A Powerful Conference on Social Media
If you are in or near Atlanta on September 25th try to make the time to attend the New Media Atlanta Conference being held at the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
The conference is being put together by the same guys that have done REtechSouth the past 2 years and if you have had the pleasure of attending either of these conferences you know that you will be getting a top level event with great speakers and an excellent networking environment.
Oh, did I mention top speakers? I did, and here are 2 names that are headlining the event in my eyes. Chris Brogan and Jeff Turner. Chris is the rising star in social media. If you want to hear what works and what doesn’t and get advice that he his giving top companies across the web, this conversation is just what you need.
Jeff Turner is probably best described as the Chris Brogan of the real estate world. Combining a successful business career with a passion for all things social media, @Respres as he is known online has been driving the conversation for real estate professional on how to maximize the use of online tools to grow your business.
Now here is a caveat. This is not a real estate conference. Sure they are offering Continuing Education credits for real estate attending (it will cost $15 at the event). Oh, and that the captivating Reggie and Nicole Nicolay will also be speaking, 2 of the brightest minds in the real estate sphere. But this is not the only reason for real estate professionals to attend.
The main reason is to understand what is happening in social media outside of our little world. See the tools that other professionals are using to generate leads and build their brands. Develop yourself for the future.
I hope this post motivates you to attend. With the world racing into social media at a blistering pace, learning how to effectively use social media is a need now as opposed to a want. To take your business to the next level social media will leverage your other skills and marketing to it’s fullest extent.
(If you are planning on attending, the guys at New Media Atlanta have sent me a special code that will get you 10% off the cost of the conference. If you use it all I ask is that you come up and introduce yourself to me as I would love to meet you.)
