Leonardo DiCaprio Selling His Malibu Home For $8,999,000

by Tom Royce on November 29, 2008

Leonardo DiCaprio is selling one of his Malibu, California homes for 9 million dollars. The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2,400 square foot home has private access to a cove. The actor is renowned for his love of privacy and this home does offer that. The home also has a guest house and a small pool.

The home was purchased for $6.35 million in 2006 so in a down market Leo is looking  to capitalize on his star power to add a couple of million to the price of the home. Of course, because he is selling the home and not Joe Schmoe it is news.

DiCaprio, who turned 34 this month, has listed a contemporary home that sits on the bluffs above the Pacific. A stairway leads to the beach cove below. The main house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,374 square feet. The master bathroom has marble fixtures and a steam shower. A separate guesthouse has two one-bedroom suites. There is a four-car garage and a large grassy area, and — no surprise to DiCaprio followers — the property is private. via the Los Angeles Times
