Boston’s Hancock Tower For Sale

HancocktowerThe famous Sixty Story Hancock Tower is up for sale according to reports coming out of New England. The Hancock Tower is the largest building in the northeast New England region and is a famous part of the Boston  skyline.

With nearly 1.8 million square feet (170,000 square meters), the Hancock Tower is the largest of the properties in an investment portfolio of high-end commercial property that Beacon Capital Partners is offering for sale.

The sale also includes buildings in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Denver, the firm said in a prepared statement. The buildings — most of which range in size from 200,000 square feet to 900,000 square feet (18,000 square meters to 81,000 square meters) — make up one of four of the firm’s portfolios of commercial properties.

A statement from Beacon Capital Partners did not identify individual properties that are up for sale beyond the Boston properties, and the company did not offer details on how large a price it expects from the sale. Company spokesman Alex McCallum declined to comment. via the  International Herald Tribune.
