Jesse Jackson Calls For March on Washington, Over Foreclosures?

by Tom Royce on November 13, 2007

Million Home March in WashingtonWell, you know that the foreclosure problems in the United States are mainstream when Jesse Jackson calls for a march against foreclosure in Washington. What will it be, “The Million Home March”?

“Two million homes nationwide will be at risk of foreclosure by 2008,” Rev. Jackson said. “We need restructure to avoid these foreclosures. Without it, the country is bound to go into recession.”
Rainbow PUSH placed a spotlight on the harmful impact of predatory lending practices and those who might be affected by the subprime market at the Wall Street Project Economic Summit in January 2007. At that time, the organization called for congressional hearings to address the crisis. Last month Rev. Jackson and a delegation traveled to six cities in Michigan to address the foreclosure crisis around the nation. Since then he has been to Atlanta and Los Angeles meeting with homeowners affected by the crisis.via the | All American Patriots.

I think the amount of foreclosures is a real shame, but I think we are missing the cause if we are just blaming the mortgage companies. The problem is our country has taught us for years the "American Way". Have whatever you want take out as much debt as you want. So consumers are living way out of their price range and then defaulting. I think we need to start pushing more budgeting education instead of get out of jail free cards. Let our country learn from this rather then once again so oh poor pitiful people who didn't pay their bills and instead bough a bunch of crap they don't need.

HiJackson always there to protest, seldom/never with a sane or workable solution. Maybe he should call in the other shakedown artist, the most Rev. Al Sharpton for his learned economic views… What a bad joke, the two of them. Ask yourself: Would you want either of these clowns representing you/r views?
