There I said it, comment spam annoys me.
Look at this:
5,202 comment spam caught in AKismet in the last 3 days.
If by chance you have submitted a comment that did not get up, I apologize, but to go through the whole list would waste a couple of hours.
Akismet is a lifesaver, but I do hate that comments could have been lost because the incessant spamming of The Real Estate Bloggers.

I used Akismet and then it stopped working. I have another system now and I have to go through the comments one by one. I hate this comment spam, too!
I always wondered how it was that blogs stopped spam or at least slowed it down, I hardly ever see captcha on blog websites.
Comment Spam is the single thing that makes me most disillusioned about blogging. Not only is it frustrating when you have to moderate every pointless spam comment into your deleted pile, but even worse is when you get excited to get a useful comment just to see that, again, it's a useless spam about some investment opportunity in Nigeria or a new pharmaceutical company offering free trial to investors…
