The home has won awards for the quality of it’s workmanship and in the process getting noticed in the media. Now Johanson’s business is growing and has a million dollar home to sell.
Pretty smart if you are good enough to build it.
The 3,000-square-foot home sits on a canal in Cape Canaveral and is available for $989,000. The model won the platinum award in its category during last month’s Spring Parade of Homes. Cabinetry, by Cabinet Designs in Rockledge, was honored with a craftsmanship award.
The home is in Discovery Bay, a 25-home site community in Cape Canaveral. Four lots remain available in the subdivision.
John Johanson left his job as a technician at Kennedy Space Center as a program was ending and earned his general contractor license in 2004. He’d long worked construction on the side, focusing on woodwork.
He started out working with a partner on townhomes, but found that market unable to support the upgraded work he wanted to do. He began to focus on custom homes. “I like to take pride in my work,” he said. FLORIDA TODAY.
