You think you live with tough landlords? Try Inner Mongolia in North China.
The Mingze Real Estate Company is looking to refurbish some of their apartments but their present tenants are not ready to move out. Instead of cajoling them or making them an offer for their inconvenience, the landlord decided to to play hardball.
He posted letters on their apartments with a bullet attached telling them they will get a gift of another bullet if they do not move out soon. The company denies making the threats with bullets but not many are buying this story.
The New York Mafia could learn some tricks from this guy.
A local resident surnamed Liu said four notices with bullets attached were posted on their residential buildings’ walls in July, saying that each resident who refuses to move out by the end of July will receive a gift from the company – a bullet.
“We reported it to the police. They took away the bullets, but haven’t given us any answer yet,” Liu told China Daily on Monday over the phone.
The local police station in Hohhot, capital city of Inner Mongolia, confirmed that they got the notices with bullets, but would not give more details.
“We’ll give the results of the investigation to the residents when we know the origin of the bullets,” a senior police officer surnamed Zhao said on Sunday over the phone. via AsiaOne

Wow… That'll send the message… There are some crazy people in this world.
Wow, I hope that something is done with them, that is terrible!
That's, uh, really hardcore.
That's very scary. You are ordered to be evicted and yet with a plus "bullet". That's terrible!
This is so frightful. I guess they mean business. I wonder what the rest of the story is.
this is funny but scary at same time..I dont think they have any laws regarding tenancy or any legal way to get the tenants out of their property.
Don't circulate this too widely. Some aggressive property managers may try this techiique in the US for delinquent rent.
