This is a great story.
Angela Logan, a Teaneck, New Jersey mother of 3, was about to lose her home. Instead of ignoring the problem she decided to meet it head on. She held a bake sale where she offered her mortgage apple cake for $40.00 a piece.
With a little publicity and a little luck, it worked. Congratulations Angela.
As of Tuesday, Logan had received more than 500 orders, including one from Hong Kong. And she no longer is baking in her home.
After reading about Logan’s financial bind, the Hilton Hotel in Hasbrouck Heights invited her to bake in a corner of its kitchen. Logan spent 12 hours there Saturday, turning out more than 20 cakes using a commercial mixer and convection oven. The hotel is letting Logan use the kitchen at least through this weekend, when the first of three $2,559.94 payments to Bank of America — required as part of the modification of her mortgage — is due. Good for her!
Im very glad that she was able to make the payment, but what is she going to do for next month? This was a cute little story though.

Very industrious. I hope she makes a million selling her cakes.
Wow. That is amazing. Did you hear about the guy who bought a house for $1000 at a foreclosure auction? Can you imagine? That's less than a monthly mortgage payment!

Just shows where a little ingenuity will get you
The author of the proverbial saying "necessity is the mother of invention" is not known, but is clearly identified by the actions of Angela Logan. Difficult situation inspire ingenious solutions and I'm sure she will continue others to seek solutions to their dilemmas in this difficult time. Congratulations to Angela and I'm impressed with the generosity of the Hilton Hotel.
