Ivana Trump Cancels Beirut Project

by Tom Royce on July 19, 2006

La_residence_by_ivana_trump_viewIvana Trumps new project in Beirut is now going to be postponed. It seems the war has changed her mind from committing to the 150 million dollar project, La Residence by Ivana Trump. The tower was supposed to have contained spacious one, two, three, four bedroom apartments as well as duplex penthouses. The lower podium levels will comprise of retail units.

IVANA TRUMP has changed her mind. Thursday’s lunch, to discuss her $150 million luxury apartment block in Beirut, is now off. This is “in reflection of the current situation in the Lebanon”. Well, quite. But don’t worry — she has not gone away. She promises, optimistically, that the launch of the billionaires’ pad in Beirut will happen this year, and there are ideas for similar blocks in Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and Paris, France. It’s highly unlikely that war or any other major conflict will break out there. via the Times Online.

Sam

This article was written nearly a year ago and quotes the source as the Times of London. Who knows, the project may be on now. You never know with the Trumps…
