Top 10 Comfiest Cities on the Sunbelt

I am a sucker for Top 10 lists as most of my regular readers will note, but this one is interesting. I have never heard of a Top 10 Comfiest Cities list.

The goal of the comparison is to identify the most attractive large or mid-sized Sunbelt metros. It gives the highest marks to well-rounded communities where growth is steady, the economy is strong, traffic moves reasonably well, the cost of living is moderate, and adults are well-educated. Created by Bizjournals.com, this study is interesting, to say the least.

1. Huntsville, Ala. - Best Strength – Extensive supply of management and professional jobs
2. Naples-Marco Island, Fla. – High income levels compared to the national average
3. Raleigh-Cary, N.C. – Extensive supply of management and professional jobs
4. Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark.-Mo. – Rapid growth in the number of job opportunities
5. Sarasota-Bradenton-Venice, Fla. – High income levels compared to the national average
6. Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Fla. – Meteoric growth in the number of job opportunities
7. Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville, Fla. – Excellent high-school graduation rate
8. Durham, N.C. – Extensive supply of management and professional jobs
9. Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, Ariz. – Strong population growth since the start of the decade
10. Tallahassee, Fla. – Extensive supply of management and professional jobs
