The things homeowners want vary from year to year, but according to the JELD-WEN Real Estate Community Trends survey, having a home office is a no brainer. While many of homes will convert a formal living room or extra bedroom for the home office, having one designated as such in a quieter part of the home is something that homeowners are telling their agents they have to have.
More results from the JELD-WEN Survey:
93% of agents said they’ve had buyers who were interested in having a room specifically for use as a home office
44% of agents said they’ve had clients who wanted home theaters in their new home
26% said clients have wanted an exercise room
18% said clients have wanted an arts and crafts room
8% said clients have wanted a music studio

I would have to agree. I think this trend started long before 2008. It is a lot easier to get extra work done if you have a comfortable place to do it.
I agree with Paul this trend is started long before 2008 but this is not the exact that will be modified a lot and is this.
I will agree -When I was looking for the home I live in that was a requirement-having a home office
I agree. I think having an office in your house is a lot easier then going to the office where there are constant distractions.
Thank you so much for this excellent information. I have used your website often and have told everyone I meet who uses motorways and is unhappy with the services.
