Very Cool Video of San Francisco circa 1905

by Tom Royce on January 3, 2008

I found this video of San Francisco in 1905 heading down Market Street.

I was doing some clean up today on the site and came across this video. Originally posted on July 18th, 2006.

I used to live in the S.F. Bay Area and found this footage to be a facinating window to the past. Thank you very much for posting it and to whoever preserved it for us.

Tommy,

Market Street has transitioned from it's former skid row state in the 1970's-80's to one of the coolest throughfares in SF.

The Street ends at the Ferry Building where the waterfront rejuvenation has been ongoing since the Willie Brown administration in the mid 1990's.

Today SF's, as Pat Kitano loves to point out, "Manhattanization" is second to none-world class city!
