Why Zillow Will Succeed

Zillow LogoEven though the results of Zillow have been sketchy so far, they are building one heck of a business and are in a position to cvapitalize on it once the bugs get out of the system. Paid Content, a new media blog, has an interesting post up today about monetizing sites via advertising in the Zillow model. By avoiding having to sell anything to be successful, Zillow has the chance to lead the Real Estate Internet sphere into the advertising model.

– Launched late last year, Zillow.com is already in the top 10 of comScore-tracked real estate sites; it’s #9. Zillow preisdent Lloyd Frink: “… it became quickly apparent to us that there’s a bigger opportunity in providing information than in having a ‘Buy Now’ button for real estate.”  via paidContent.org.
