Top 10 Cities for Real Estate Investing, 2nd Quarter 2008

by Tom Royce on July 16, 2008

Homevestor, the We Buy Ugly Houses folks, have come out with their listing of best cities for real estate investing for the second quarter of 2008.

There was no criteria mentioned about how they came to create the list but my assumption is that it is based upon Homevestors franchise volume information. What interests me about the list is that the cities on the list avoid the coasts and the worst of the housing meltdown.

Regions where housing is in free fall such as central Florida and the Inland Empire of California are not on the list even when prices are dropping like a rock. For Homevestor franchises the opportunities are in the middle of the country.

Top 10 Cities for Real Estate Investing, 2nd Quarter 2008

  1. Dallas
  2. Houston
  3. Atlanta
  4. Denver
  5. Fort Worth
  6. San Antonio
  7. Charlotte, N.C.
  8.  St. Louis
  9. Milwaukee
  10. Chicago and Kansas City, Kansas

I can believe that! Foreclosures are a huge business these days.

Find a good RealTOR you can trust to help find some decent properties.

Foreclosures are a great opportunity at this time. Not just for housing, but for vacant, undeveloped land as well.
