A conservative videographer and his girlfriend went to the Maryland and Washington DC ACORN offices acting as a pimp and a prostitute looking to finance a whorehouse with ACORN’s help. What is amazing at these 2 offices the counselors gave them advice on how to do so and fake the income and tax form requirements for getting a home loan. Oh, and they also had no problem with the fact that they were bringing in underage Salvadorian girls to work in these cathouses.
Now to give ACORN it’s due, their representative sent me a press release saying that 5 offices these videographers went to turned them down cold, but to me that means 29 percent of ACORN housing counselors will give the advice to lie on a mortgage application for getting a whorehouse open.

Glen Beck on Fox news is all over this story and has been exposing the corruption in ACORN. Where is the mainstream media? In Obama's Pocket.
This is very disturbing, but think it has to do with lack of training and oversight on Acorn's part.
My God… it takes a couple of amateur kids with ethics to expose this? WHERE THE HECK ARE THE REAL JOURNALISTS??? WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY???
This goes to show that nothing has really changed…same sentiment of trying to work around "problems" in order to get financing…even by the "good guys". ACORN has always seemed a bit over the top with their efforts, but it's still a shame to see this coming from a non-profit organization.
The big question: is the mortgage industry inherently fraud-riddled? Is there anything we can really do to stop it? New rules/laws/provisions are hurdled in days, let alone hours.
Everything seems to be going down the drain. You have things like Acorn, parties in foreclosed homes, money going everywhere but back to the people…what is going on?
The audacity of ACORN is astounding!! Now,they have filed legal suit against the undercover film makers…All funding for this corrupt organization should have been stopped months ago when their unethical practices were exposed!
No, it's not about not being trained. It's about the fact that they ARE trained… within a system designed to get blacks and illegals around the tax laws and immigration laws of this country. It's also a money laundering system for the founders. The powers that be in D.C. continue to avoid any significant investigation because it will be the white establishment coming down on the under privileged and Lord knows what kind of storm that would create! Pandering like this needs to stop! People need to get involved and let their representative know that this kind of cr@p won't be tolerated.
This entire story has been debunked and the ‘videographers’ who are funded by extreme rightwing think tanks, are now being sued by ACORN and possibly prosecuted by two states whose laws they violated.
These two people lied on television, lied to several of the ACORN workers they illegally attempted to record. Two of those offices reported them to the police, which made the lies of these two far right operatives clear when the reports were made available.
One of the workers did to them what they thought they were doing to her. She knew they were scamming her and pretended she had murdered her husband to outdo their outlandish claims. They not only believed her, dumb as they are, they went on television with Karl Rove no less and Hannity and made the false claim that ACORN hires murderers! That was not only hysterically funny but what kind of people are THEY who claimed she was telling the truth, not to check out her story and report it? One month later Giles and O’Keefe had still not reported that story.
Fortunately the police did look into it after seeing them on tv and of course, the woman did not ‘murder her husband’ she was just making fools of them, which she did.
They are after ACORN because the organization helps poor people and minorities. Every stunt done by this O’Keefe character has a racist tone to it, as did this one.
Funny that neither one will talk to any reporter other than the tabloid rightwing Fox ‘News’ now that their little scheme has been exposed and questions about their funding, which O’Keefe claims NOW he did not have, are being asked. He has scrubbed his website for some reason.
Wake up people, these are scam artists, and ACORN will not only sursvive, it will thrive as it has for decades despite the constant attacks of the rabid rightwing of the Republican party. I wish them well in their lawsuit against these operatives. This is not news, it’s a stunt with edited tapes, missing tapes and police reports etc.
I hope they have to produce all of the uneditied tapes which will tell a very different story. Much harder to lie in court than on Fox ‘news’.

Sorry, but not surprised. There's a reason we're in a mortgage crisis. So many people out there need legitimate help. So many others are taking advantage.
Where is the real press? Good question. Helen Thomas was driven out for speaking her mind. The press has been sold to Rupert Murdoch, the Australian, and reports sensationalisim and pablum. Whistle blowers are afraid and there is no longer protection for them. Blackwater is a far bigger scandal than this questionable scam on Acorn foisted by hoodlums hired to do a hit on them. Blackwater is still doing jobs marines should be doing.
Extremists have the wheel in our country, and even with a new president we cannot seem to shake off the forces of ignorance. Lack of information, failed news organizations afraid to speak up, and a weak education system in which the big issues are thought to be sex education, in which nuts elected to school boards to censor books, are the real problems of the day.
