If you are looking to sell your home by yourself, these are the top cities in the country that do not use the services of a real estate agent to sell their home. New York leads the way as is one of the hottest markets in the country. Adding to New Yorks ability to support FSBO sales is the strong presence of Craiglist and the Village Voice, alternative and reasonably low cost ways to get your home in front of buyers outside of normal channels.

An interested list that surprise me a little. General in Europe is that “Sale by the Owner” in bigger cities is between 1.0 – 2.5 percent and in smaller cities around 2.0 – 4.0 percent. So my question is why Chicago and New York have so high percent. Can any real estate, broker or agent give a explanation?
